ALLFIT Gym hosted Mibobog Muaythai Challenge.
Mibobog in Dusun language translate to something to like "all of fighting". ALLFIT Gym together with Persatuan Muaythai Negeri Sabah hosted this event as a platform for beginners in the Muaythai art to compete and fight on the ring. The entrance fee of the event is RM15.
The fight is only open to Persatuan registered members and gyms, thus only 7 matches were on that night. Since this match was suppose to be for new comers only, some rules like "no knees" or "elbows attack" were implemented (almost rendering this competition to a kickboxing match if not for clinching was allowed).
Only one fight was different which pits 2 senior members that had knee strikes but elbows were still not allowed. The standard of the fight differs: some fights turn out to be brawls while some saw very promising Muaythai striking.
There was also one female match fight which saw a quick ending in the first round.
The general review from FightBah about this event is: this is the first Mibobog event and they still have many rooms to improve on (different weight class fighters/ confusion of rules as the first match saw knees engaged but were actually not allowed), but it is events like these that give more opportunities for local muaythai beginners to pit their skill against each other.
Another good thing about this event is that Muaythai fighters that register themselves with the Persatuan they will get a fighter's log book which keeps their official record in their Muaythai career.
We heard that Mibobog will be a monthly ALLFIT event, hopefully after many more tries there will be more fights & create more better fighters to come.
Congratulation to the organisers and fighters for organizing this event!
