We manage to get news of how the Labuan boys are doing and the results are as follow:
Young 15 year old fighter Ronald "Bad Boy" Tee
Fight play by play written by MMAnewsasia.com
Tom ‘Pocket Dynamite’ Chan (2-0) from Ultimate MMA Academy Vs Ronald ‘Bad Boy’ Tee from Borneo Combat
PD is straight across the ring and as he
offers his hand up to Ronald to touch gloves, he punches with the other! A move I dislike, but he has BB backed up against the cage, BB has
underhooks and PD takes him to the ground in guard, BB is having none of
it and walks away.
They resume standing up BB is straight
in on the attack and tries to take PD down by lifting his legs and PD
goes down. BB is on top and is pounding on him, he grabs for the leg and
PD moves also to take a leg BB sprawls, and BB is on his back and he is
pulling PD down, PG tries posturing up but BB is using his legs well to
keep PD at bay. PD then tries for a single leg lock but BB ignores it,
it seems that PD does not have the technique right at all, as BB is
really not worried and it seems to be pointless, BB also grabs PD’s leg
but he also seems not to quite know what he is meant to do with it.
So a
stalemate of sorts, the ref does not stand them up, PD is sticking with
the leg lock and really seems to be exerting lots of energy. BB get’s
his leg free and is on top of PD and starts pounding into his body and
PD quickly turtles up and is unable to defend himself.
The ref stops the fight.
That display from PD was very surprising
as in his last fight at the Ultimate Fight Night 5 he looked a lot
fitter and more determined. I am sure he will rise again. However Ronald
‘Bad Boy’ Tee deserves all the praise for a very impressive
performance.

Sonny "The Silencer" Sabonido
Kwuang from Ultimate MMA Academy Vs Sunny ‘The Silencer’ Sabonido from Borneo Combat
Kwuang starts with a kick, both fighters
are taking their time, Kwuang has a kick boxers stance and throws some
light jabs and kicks and then Sunny unloads with a succession of punches
and Kwuang is down, Sunny is all over him and beating Kwuang senseless
the ref steps in to prevent further punishment, Sunny stands up
obviously pleased and screams in exultation.
Sunny who is both deaf and mute shows
that a little handicap is not about to hold him back, one of the great
things about the crew from Borneo is that Sunny has taught them how to
sign, which shows the sort of brotherhood they have got over there.

Alvin "Poseidon" Chong
Alvin ‘Poisedon’ Chong from Borneo Combat Vs Brendon from Impact MMA
Brendan moves straight across the ring
and takes Alvin immediately to ground, Alvin has his neck and Brendan is
on top, he is just using his weight and moving around into a north
south position and and back to side mount and then back again and
eventually through this movement Alvin loses the neck, giving Brendan
the freedom to work how he wishes. He is pushing down on Alvins body and
into side mount Alvin is trying to control him from his back as Brendan
starts to punch his face, he then goes for an arm bar, lets it go,
takes full mount and then takes Alvins back, he tries for a rear naked
choke, Alvin is defending, Brendan keeps working it and eventually get’s
it fully in causing Alvin to tap.
Time of Finish: 1:14 Round 1

Borneo Combat gym walks out with a 2 win & 1 lost result shows that Borneo fighters can do just as well in the West Malaysian MMA circuit. Not too mention that Ronald "Bad Boy" Tee who is only 15 years old at this writting beating an opponent who had 2 MMA fight experience under the Muay Fit promotion seem to show some promise for our local fighters! Meanwhile the other fighter Sonny maybe deaf / mute but under a good gym it all does not matter!
FightBah would like to give a shout out and congratulation to all the 3 Labuan Fighters & their performances! Many RESPECT to them all!
