HEADHUNTERS CHALLENGE 2011: Grappling competition.

Good news for all Sabahan grapplers, there will be a grappling competition hosted by CORE Fitness & BJJ Borneo at Suria Sabah this coming 26th November 2011.

Malaysia‘s first ever Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) and submission grappling challenge to be held on the 26th November 2011 in Suria Sabah, Kota Kinabalu.

Max 60 competitors (first pay first serve basis)

Wins in the tournament are determined via:
... Submission, points or referee decision.

Rules implemented will be modified IBJJF rules (ref. www.ibjjf.com)

Men’s weight classes:
+ -65.9kg
+ -76.9kg
+ -87.9kg
+ -98.9kg
+ +99kg
+ Absolute weight class

Women’s weight classes:
+ -60kg
+ +60 kgs

Time limits:
White belts - 5mins per round. Single elimination
Blue belts - 6mins per round. Single elimination

Registration:

Registration begins 12th Nov 2011. Entrance fees are as follows:
Single division (gi or no-gi) = RM75
Two divisions (both gi and no-gi) = RM90

Payments for registrations received after 24th Nov 2011 will incur an additional RM10 processing fee. International competitors may pay on the venue without penalties. All competitors will receive a free event t-shirt upon successful registration.
