Belated Merry Xmas & Get ready for the new year.

A Belated Merry Xmas & Happy Holidays to all FightBah readers.

We are coming to the end of the 2012 & it has been a great year with many healthy dose of small tourneys, events & news.

Infact this year alone saw many gyms opening: Kinabalu Fighters, AllFit, Alpha MMA, Khai Muaythai just to name a few.

We saw also the first big openly held Muaythai Fit Warrior hosted in Kompleks Asia City which had many Sabahan Muaythai fighters giving it a go. After that event some small inter gym fights in Kinabalu Fighter's Friday Fight Night (which is more of a hybrid event that has a mix of boxing, muaythai & MMA). The UMS Sanda competition was the first of its kind & we come to the year end with a Judo, a Submittion Grappling & also the Sabah Karate Open competition last week.

FightBah will be going for a short hiatus but we are very happy to announce an upcoming news about 2013 MMA happening.

We thank you readers for following this blog & will keep everyone updated about Borneo martial art news.

Martial Arts demo at Borneo Beach Expo.

There will be some martial art demo at this coming December event:

Borneo Beach Expo on the 29th - 30th December at the First Beach Tanjung Aru.

ONE FC returns to KL, 2nd February 2013.

ONE FC: Return of Warriors will be coming to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on February 2nd 2013.

UMS SANDA 2012

Recently there was the UMS Sanda competition & it saw a good number of participants.

Rumor: 2013 A Big year for Malaysia MMA.

We at FightBah have been in touch and hearing many rumors of the coming big boom of Malaysian MMA, talks about it could be the biggest promotion that brings all MMA gyms around the whole Malaysia to compete for a Malaysian MMA title.

Alpha MMA Grand Opening!

Alpha MMA, a new BJJ & MMA gym in KK, Sabah will be having it's grand opening on the 17th November 2012, 1:30pm onwards at Lot 11, 3rd floor, Block C, Citymall & at the same time conducting a special MMA seminar by BJJ Blackbelt Prof. Leke of Checkmat.

October 27th & 28th 2012 was the Bangkok Open Tournament, a submittion grappling tournament that saw many gyms around south-east asia competing to be the top grappler in the region!

University Malaysia Sabah will be hosting the 1st Sanda Wushu Competition in it's venue on the 11th November 2012.

Sarawak Charity Shield Challenge a great success!

Sarawak hosted it's Charity Shield Challenge in Kuching last 13th & 14th October saw many Borneo Gyms joining the event! 

Seven categories were contested including 2 under-12 category, all for the Borneo Championship Belt!

August 12th 2012, The Borneo Tribal Squad led by ONE FC fighter AJ Pyro hosted a buka puasa dinner sponsored by Tune Talk Mobile.

The exciting UFC 150 will see Frankie Edgar fighting Ben Henderson on a rematch that saw many epic moments in their 1st encounter. Frankie being in 2 trilogy fights against people like BJ Penn & Grey Maynard which he won his Championship belt.

That belt was taken from him in a very close bout with his 1st fight against Ben Henderson who is also another super exciting fighter. Check the prefight video below of UFC 150 as Ben Henderson does his 1st title defense in the UFC against a master of trilogy bouts!

In the true spirit of 1Malaysia, the multi-ethnic display promises to be a fun-filled and colourful event and members of the public are welcome to witness its staging.
