Capoeira in Kota Kinabalu?

So some folks saw the previous post about "Technique of the month: Capoeira - Vingativa" & have asked me where can you find a Capoeira class in Kota Kinabalu?

For those that are interested, you can find the "Borneo Capoeira" group at Tanjung Aru 1st Beach. They practice either on Saturdays or Sundays around 5pm.

A little write up about the group from their private facebook page:

Borneo Capoeiristas!

A small team originally founded by Danny Fredoline and naming it as Beach Capoeira group back in 1998 in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, gather up to share and learn the art of Capoeira. In 2005, another separate Capoeira group join in, the Amarelo Capoeira lead by Alex. In 2010, the group change its name to Borneo Capoeira.

We offer basic learning in Capoeira, although we have no proper mestre, due to the lack of influence and access to our City from the outside world, our aim is to gather as much members and propose to bring International Capoeira to Sabah.

Danny Fredoline is the same person Karateka (blue corner) in the last post. He is actually also a SUKMA Karate coach but he cross trained Capoeira during his year in KL. You can view Danny's video below:
