FightBah visits EVOLVE MMA

FightBah was at Singapore for a few days over some personal matters, but we manage to drop by for a quick visit to the EVOLVE MMA gym in Far East Square.

Evolve MMA Far East Square is an impressive 12,000 square feet of training ground. From a huge and open mat for their Brazillian Jujitsu space to the good heavy bag area for  their Muay Thai program.

But Evolve MMA isnt a gym that just looks pretty, their coach & instructor line up is almost equivalent of a MMA All Star Team.

Sityodong gym is the affiliate that runs EVOLVE's Muay Thai program. The headquarters of Sityodtong Camp is in Pattaya, Thailand. Its Grandmaster is Yodtong Senanan and he has produced 57 Muay Thai Champions, the most number in the history of Muay Thai in Thailand.

Sityodtong Singapore (also known as Evolve Mixed Martial Arts) is the largest Sityodtong branch in the world and is headed by Kru Chatri Sityodtong, a long-time student of Kru Yodtong Senanan for over 25 years. Between UFC 67 and UFC 85, Team Sityodtong did not lose a fight in the UFC.

At the time of our visit, the trainer was "The Emperor" Namsaknoi Yudthagarngamtorn a 4 time Muay Thai World Champion & the Longest Lumpinee Muay Thai World reigning Champion. Having a super star celebrity fighter like that definitely motivates the class.

The team that runs the Brazilian Jujitsu program in EVOLVE MMA was by non other then RENZO GRACIE JUJITSU; the very family that started the art of Brazilian Jujitsu!

In fact, not too long ago, Renzo Gracie was at this very facility giving his seminar to the lucky EVOLVE team.

This gym is also 1 of the few gyms in South East Asia that can boast about their MMA cage facility!

 Besides that it also has a small bar to serve customers and those that finish training a dose of healthy goodness.

FightBah also manage to grab a photo with 1 of their resident fighter Mitch Chelson. Mitch is a MMA fighter who has won twice at the Martial Combat Super Fight (it was the 1st MMA promotion in South East Asia) he also fought at the ONE FC which is the new MMA promotion that sent shock wave around the world.

It was an awesome experience to have finally see this great gym & hopefully in the future there will be a chance for FightBah to come and train at such awesome facility!
